The rest of this page contains the instructions for making those modifications yourself if you decide to reflash your PiBox. Download OS image and write to microSD card Header. I would recommend using 32bit PI OS for now. Using a custom Linux OS on your PiBox We maintain and distribute a modified 64-bit Raspberry Pi OS image which is pre-configured to be perfect for the PiBox. It is recommended to use a Raspberry PI with a 64-bit OS to be able to cover all the parts of this workshop. Raspberry Pi OS (64-bit) Compatible with: 3B 3B+ 3A+ 4 400 CM3 CM3+ CM4 Zero 2 W Raspberry Pi OS with desktop. Locally saved 1080p 60Hz video playback with VLC is fine (using ArgonOne M.2 case with M.2 SATA SSD). I took out my old Raspberry Pi Zero (32 bit) and Raspberry Pi 3B+ (64 bit) and for the first time installed a 64 bit OS on the 3B+ despite warnings of bugs and such and did some compiling. Many operating systems are available for Raspberry Pi, including Raspberry Pi OS, our official supported operating system, and operating systems from other organisations. Netflix video playback is passable for the most part with 32bit, but seems to be "blocky" or tearing especially when there are panning or fast scenes (I'm on Ethernet and have the 720p playback subscription at 3440x1440 fullscreen, over only 200Mbps fiber). I have not yet been able to fix this, so I reinstalled the 32-bit Pi OS again (using it right now as I'm writing this) so that I can use both Netflix on Chromium and Spotify Chromium App. Raspberry Pi OS (previously called Raspbian) is our official supported operating system. Playback on Spotify Web or even in the Chromium App kind of just skips tracks, then plays a song after a few tracks but only partway, then skips again, and loops on this behavior. With the advent of the Raspberry Pi 4, Pi’s are sufficiently powerful in terms of both CPU and memory for AWS development. Your Raspberry Pi needs an operating system to work. However, if you're also using Spotify, there seems to be an issue with Widevine as of this writing on 64bit Chromium and 64-bit PI OS. Try installing the Better Chromium, or remove both libwidevinecdm0 and chromium first, then reinstall chromium then libwidevinecdm0 in that order.
